Power position
Power position I think what a few people don’t realize is Orbite is the power position in negotiations. They have the resource, the technology and the support of the Quebec & Federal governments. They can produce SGA for 30% less than the competition. It is cleaner and more environmentally friendly than the old bauxite process and can remediate red mud.
They can move ahead with HPA with or without partners and fund the SGA with earnings. They do not ‘need’ Rusal or Nalco or Alouette or Rio Tinto or Alcan. It would just take a little longer. I hope they take their time and do it right. I want full value for the money I invested.
