RE: RE: new board should force out rb

scobie,,,  I don't know what Lionel Leveilles' role was in all of this but I agree with you that this BOD was asleep at the wheel.

Either RB pulled the wool over their eyes too or they just weren't interested, but either way they dropped the ball and now they are also in the spotlight.

I take some encouragement in the fact that they seem to be paying attention now.

The first good sign that I took from this was that when the new COO was announced it was done by Leveille with no involvement from RB. That was a good sign to me that the BOD finally woke up and took some control of the situation. Reading between the lines I surmised that the BOD either recognized the problem or more than likely were approached by someone (probably Veolia) to step in and do their duty.

The BOD shakeup is also a good sign that things are progressing but I again agree with you that the BOD really needs to show some leadership in order to regain some of their lost credibility also. They need to show some strong and sustained oversight until this gets turned around and then they need to keep a closer eye on things in the future. They have some fences to mend.

I still do not beleive that the BOD could be so nonchalant as to let this unbeleivable level of BSing of the shareholders and the market, go on for so long.

If they didn't know about all of this blatent misinformation and fabrications by management then they should have.

Let's just hope that this is a turning point for the BOD and that they will get serious about their responsibilities this time around.
