Cameco provided the following reserve update for McArthur River at the end of December, 2000.

Cameco's share of proven and probable reserves rose from 178 million pounds U3O8 at an average grade of 17% U3O8 on December 31, 1999 to 275 million pounds at 21% U3O8 on December 31, 2000.

Not only did the tonnes increase dramatically but the grade went up as well. It seems to me I heard that the dramatic increases in each was largely attributable to the discovery during underground drilling of one particularly high-grade pod. What's more, I believe this pod was not even 25 metres high or 25 metres long and I'm not sure but I believe much less than 25 metres wide. That a pod this small could have such impact on an already substantial reserve is stunning.

This is not to say we have a McArthur River but I believe it cannot be overstated the significance that FIS/AMW have had three really superb holes now outlining a strike length of at least 30 metres.  I remember this being one of the frustrating things about Roughrider, the often lacking continuity from one section to the next.  Width and grades here remain an unknown but as chattyc says, one HECK of a nice picture is forming.
