It was clearly his exit strategy as he “confirmed” the target of one XwinSys system before Y/E 2016 and “spiced it up” with a previously unheard of 3 to 5 systems for 2017.
He just used the proven BNN guest technique of loading up (to the tune of making it his largest MC holding – 13% of his Growth Fund) on a “little extra” information which he did in very early 2015 (I personally think he started in late 2014) as per his own Aug 2015 comments

This practice isn’t just a McWhirter special. It is common on BNN. Selling into what has commonly been dubbed “BNN bump” works more often than not.
