How good or bad this deal proves is something we won't know
right away. Second guessing is always easy to do especially when the facts are yet to be known. Guidance is for approx. the same production next year, so the remaining question is the price of silver going forward.The market typically over-reacts with this sort of news.
An extreme example is GATO which dropped 60% in Jan. and has now regained nearly 100% from the low. If bought on the drop it proved to be an outstadning buy.
