Price of Oil vs Price of gasoline

Price of Oil vs Price of gasolineAny one else getting fed up with the gouging at the pumps by the oil companies and the Canadian Goverments blind eye towards it?  We all know that the governments taxation system on gasoline generates huge revenues on the backs of hard working tax payers...but surely this is getting out of hand!  The rise in price of a barrel of oil to nearly 150 bucks in recent months lead to the price of gasoline at the pumps to go up to about 1.50 in metro areas of Canada and even higher in remote areas.  This was the oil companies explanation for the prices at the pump and the government gave no other explanation.  We also noted that as the price of oil went up each day the price of our gasoline went up instantly.  So if this was the oil giants and our government used to justify gouging us I think a movement has to be started to ahve the prices lowered at the pumps using their own logic.  The price of oil has fallen from a high of about $150/barrel to $100/barrel yet teh price at the pumps has not changed at all in most locations and only by a few cents in others.  We should be paying about $1.00/liter for gasoline right now!  I urge everyone to put pressure on their local MP's.  I for one am getting sick of spending 150 bucks a crack to fill the escalade!
