Off the bottom of my head I would think valuing a mining company based solely on the potential number of ounces might not be the whole picture. Maybe the load is deep under the earth and costly to extract versus a mother load at the top. Also the price of the commodity at the time is important. Look how the previous owners of some of EXS land dumped it as gold was 300 per ounce and not worth the bother.
