Check out the last paragraph - criptic or what

The mine’s general manager Steve Badenhorst thanked Wynne for her visit and said that the employees of Kidd Operations have much to be proud of when it comes to their facility’s 50-year history, including several accolades and awards they have received such several as John T Ryan Awards for safety.

“Who would have thought a single hold back in 1963 dug by a very brave geologist would become one of the greatest base metal mines 50 years later,” said Badenhorst. “Many people deserve to be commended for their vision, ingenuity, stamina, and resilience, and many of those people are in this room today.”

The workforce at the mine have been loyal and hardworking said the GM, with a great many people working there for more than 35 years.

Although the mine has had its life extended many times, its is quickly reaching the end of its viability. But Badenhorst said they should be proud that the mine was able to keep going long after its initial estimates.

“One analogy I keep using is that it’s like building a 20-story building and then someone saying ’I think we can build another on top of it,’,” he said. “I remain amazed by the resilience of this workforce and how safely they have been able to work.”
