Timmins West Mining District
Take this for what it's worth
Tahoe's CEO McArthur (earlier this spring when visiting the LSG operations in Timmins) remarked that the company would continue to do serious exploration to find new gold reserves, adding that this is vital to survival of any mining company.
“Reserves are like seeds to a farmer. We have to have that done in order to execute on our growth plan. We expect to grow our reserves and resources by two to four million ounces over the next two to four years.”
In response to a question from The Daily Press, McArthur said Lake Shore’s exploration successes at Timmins West was “a testament to the hard work that Lake Shore has done,” in that part of Timmins.
“The Timmins West is a brand new discovery on a splay of the Porcupine-Destor Fault. It was buried. It wasn’t found, until ... 2007. And what we’re seeing now is a number of these deposits, the Timmins, the Thunder Creek, the Gap 144.”
He said it was indeed surprising to find the new gold zones, but added because the exploration never went to any depth below a few hundred metres, the gold was never discovered before now.
“The discovery was really a blind discovery based on very good geologic reasoning. And so it is quite impressive what the Lake Shore people have done. We are very pleased to be a part of that now.”
(What's important here to note with the above statements, the gold runs into neighbouring claims like TPW/Ogden etc and all 3 majors know this)
THEREFORE IMHO
Tahoe probably already has a hand shake type deal in place with Teck on TPW however Ogden is open to Tahoe alone.......the caveat is Goldcorp......under the new Goldcorp CEO's plans for the company they may now have renewed interest in Ogden and TPW if their on the ground geologists at MEK's Thomas Ogden claims next door see that there is huge potential for a much larger gold mining operation for many years in the future as does Tahoe.......Goldcorp is now moving ahead with the original resource at the Thomas Ogden to prove up an economic open pit operation to follow with and or in behind the Hollinger operation to increase mill through put and increase gold ounces out put....Goldcorp already produces 300,000 oz yearly from the Dome Mill......but their company gold producing model is 500,000 oz/year....add to that Probe....and its all possible....
SO EXS is definitely in play between two giant Majors with eyes on the prize.......that being EXS Which Major will step up, when and take the prize.......
The MAJOR unknown is still in play and that being the Kidd Creek current drilling program for VMS

Take what prize??? What is the mineable resource? 600k ounces spread all over in pockets..this cannot be mined. It is therefore not economical. Have you read the 43-101

According to GWT, drilling at the Kidd step out hole was at the 550m mark on Wednesday so they must be at or close to the depth where they encountered exhalite in the previous hole.

This is a supported statement.... Current mineral resources at TPW are not at an economically recoverable development level stage which can be valuated, and as such, are not of economic nature.

Did you mistake this for the Kirkland Lake board? You should go back to that board and keep cheering Tony M. on.....
