*KORES is a Korean Government enterprise whose mandate is to become a top tier international mining company by 2020 through overseas acquisition of world class mining and refining assets. Kores, through a MOU, has extended an option to LG Industries the supply chain arm of the LG Group companies including LG Chem the world’s 4th largest battery producer, and GS Caltex, Korea’s second largest oil refiner, jointly owned by Chevron and GS Holdings, to become equal partners with KORES, in this venture.
