Nice discussion

Good to hear some constructive discussion on the valuation of FDN. There are a few things that have however puzzled me. Any plausible/speculative answers would be appreciated! (I am NOT bashing...I am long FDN at around .24, and remember last year when we jumped to .60 on no news....heres to hoping for that again).

1) Why, if the 1M ounce 43-101 seems to have been made "public" knowledge, hasnt the shareprice reacted to the speculation of that? If it is truly going to be this number, will the market even react and care, or will it shrug it off?
--> Im not buying the "people want to see the numbers" because there are enough speculaters to take this into the .50s

2) Where are more drill results from Coldstream?
--> Im not buying "labs are backed up"...I did when every metal junior was soaring 2-3 months ago, but gold isnt the flavour of the month, at least not right now. Do I think that could change at any time? Absolutely.

3) Why acquire more and more properties? Now FDN has Coldstream, San Rafael, The mitchell property AND now Mexico?
--> Spreading the resources out over 4 projects may lead to more dillution, less focus and although may lead to a larger overall resource for FDN, not necessarily more value for shareholders

4) Where does Alto Ventures fit into the equation?
--> Being a partner of FDN on the coldstream project, why havent they optioned in on the recent property purchases? Are FDN and ATV distancing themselves from one another, while still working together on both companies "flagship" property, Coldstream?

5) When will we see buying?!?!

Thanks for everything everyone has added

The 1M ounces deposit is only said from one sharehoder's mouth, i didn't find any other clue about the 1M ounces. My opinion is, according to the area of the property ( only 5000+ hectares ) and all the released winter drilling results, the deposit may be a little bit more than the previous operator's estimation, which is 234000 ounces, around 500k ounces is the maximum. so with the ...more

i think the 1 mm ounces were for discussion only. we can  speculate but the resource calculation due out later this month/july will be something we have to live with for a long time. if they can show continuity from cs to iris the lid will come off of this thing.  whatever the calculation ends up being, additional step out and infill drilling will create enough speculation that ...more

Cutoff grade is likely around 1 gram a tonne maybe a little less, but Im not really sure where one could get that number from, I guess you could really lower the cutoff grade. However, I have a much better number I am comfortable with, at least in terms of my own expectation. Im neither nor on this one yet, will have to see howit all plays out over the next month or so. There are always pros and ...more

Well at a 5.6M market cap and around (dont quote me) 2.5M cash, anything should help the dismal share price, IMO.GLL

Sure, but I have a much better number that is more accurate in my mind. 14 cents is perhaps getting interesting. Cash in the bank will likely be spent proving up the resource even more, so a  financing will likely come in fall. Do I have to always spell it out. Jeckyl are you out of the loop?
