John Embry's comments

John Embry was VERY positive on FRP yesterday when asked about FRP. He said very good management who are excited about the prospects at Macusani, said FRP was a better buy (for him) than SOX and that he (Embry) likes their gold property very much. With gold up and comments like thses you can easily see why FRP has been rising of late. Good stuff! GLTA, QT

Excellent news. Yes, Embry has a following. Embry has in the past come across as a bit of gold nut with his conspiracy theories of gold price manipulation by central banks, etc., but frankly, it does not seem to have hurt him too much.

It hasn't hurt him too much,b/c it was all true.Lots of people know that.Thought you might too.

Sure, everybody knows the gold market is manipulated. Don't the gasoline companies conspire to rig prices and rip consumers off. Also according to Embry: The end of fiat money is near and the US inflation rate is not really 2% but 20%. The key is the money supply growth..... Wrong again. But don't let it bother you. I've made good money on stocks for the 'wrong reasons ...more

Hey RED - do you ever wonder what real life is like? Or do you avoid it because you realize it would completely overwhelm you? Huh? Be careful there ~zagallo~. You are drooling on your polyester suit.

It's like Machiavelli said; people make mistakes in general, but not in the particular. Embry's views on a world gold conspiracy are absurd. Gold reserves in the top five countries alone (US, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland) plus the IMF, top 20,000 metric tonnes. So when they sell 400 tonnes, it's just a drop in the bucket. If they really wanted to devastate the gold price (and ...more

"Embry's views on a world gold conspiracy are absurd." I disagree totally. Absurdity is thinking that it isn't being manipulated the same as the dollar and the Fed are manipulated. A historical look at how the FED got started and by whom and for whom and how they manipulate the most powerful economy of the world should provide a clear insight into some of the most wicked ...more

I think the day is near that World population revolts against this manipulation. It's going to catapult gold to considerable higher prices, meaning a much lower US dollar. US is flat broke. Time is very near. Gold should be at 925$. NOW. Not 666$. This manipulation is so obvious now that it will act as an opposite force to pull gold much higher. Stay tuned and buy each oz on any weakness ...more

Investor2003, If gold goes to $925, it would mean inflation is out of control. We could then expect the Fed to raise interest rates very aggressively. This would definitely lead to a recession, and a much lower gold price, as traders dump commodities and stocks in favor of high yield US Treasuries. I don't know if you were trading back in the early 80's, but this is precisely what ...more
