Untendering my shares

I had about 50% of my shares tendered but I am untendering all of them now based on what I know so far.

1. Markets in general are too scary to be locked in for 2+ weeks.
2. The Cash component is too small and we can be assured proration given the situation, we can guess the vast majority of people who have tendered have selected the cash component since we have been trading less than $43 per share.
3. We will possibly see CMED trade even higher than it is trading right now so I'm planning selling on peaks. You CANNOT sell if you have tendered.
4. A lot of CMED holders who were into CMED because it was undervalued, will likely dump ACB after getting them because it's still overvalued.  This will cause even more short term pressure on ACB.
5. It's impossible to know which brokerage houses will get their redemption first so it's all controlled by ACB behind the scene with zero investing public visibility.  This create a blinside scenario for the average investor.  None of the brokerages know.
6. I don't want ACB, I would rather buy APH or WEED.  ACB has the highest short ratio for a reason.
7. The market and sector sentiment is bearish, bulls haven't reconfirmed bull recovery. If that happens, I might re-tender.

I want to be in cash or have the abilty to go to cash at a moment's notice.  Once the "take up" happens (post March 7th), cash is locked up. You can no longer untender.

How can you be so sure people don't like Aurora? Talk for yourself please. For myself, I sold all my CMED a few hours ago and I bought Aurora...(I made the reverse at the beginning of the month) Like that, good timing, i received more than 3.4 per share...Sold at $36.42 and buy at $10.55.   Aurora overvalue....don't think so, little reminber, Aurora distribute his cannabis in Germany ...more

And if you want the money from the offer/merge, you have to tender your shares...

why do you prefer aph?   weed I understand but don't you think aph has a bearish trend?

I prefered APH because it was beaten down and grossly oversold.  Keep in mind, I was also heavily in CMED.  All of this sector is still in a bearish trend and so is the overall markets. I find in this sector, you can avoid the unpleasant downswings by selling at overbought.  That's what I did on CMED in $40 and how I rebought in the $20s.  I've been content trading ...more

Most swing traders will use the Day and Week period charts.  Look at the day charts below. It hits RSI above 70 it's overbought and if it hits RSI below 30, it's oversold. https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=CMED.TO More aggressive traders like me will use a 1 hour period chart. Those aren't free, you have to pay for a subscription to stockcharts. Tradingview has it but the ...more
