one more opinionIf you are a gold bull and believe that bullion will trade at over $1000 an ounce in the next five years (and if you aren't what the heck are you doing here?)then you have to love this deal. A guaranteed 3 million ounces of production for the next ten years, even at $600 has created shareholder value.
For those on this board who seem to venerate Mr. McEwen, the shine on his career is looking somewhat tarnished lately. At least Mr. Telfer can consumate a deal and create future shareholder value while Mr. McEwewn stumbles around in the Nevada desert making bush league clerical errors and creating turmoil in the companies he's trying to aquire, all the while decreasing USGL share price by 30% or more.I'll take Mr. Telfer's business acumen over Mr. McEwen's bungling any day. This is not to say Mr. McEwen won't eventually get his game back but for now his comments sound more like sour grapes than valid criticism.
