The Kearny Watershed Environmental Foundation (KWEF), POWR MAG (Protectors of Wetlands & River) Magnetawan Inc., and the Township of Perry have also recently filed a Leave for Appeal to revoke OGL's Permit to Take Water granted in 2012. "The proponent has a history of violating the conditions of its Environmental Compliance Approval. Specifically, in late 2015 it released untreated acidic water into the Magnetawan River. This intentional release of untreated acidic water occurred during the peak trout spawn, resulting in the deaths of both adult spawning fish as well as fertilized eggs. The proponent reported inaccurate information about this spill to the Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change regarding both the start time of the release and the extent of the potential damage." https://www.ebr.gov.on.ca/ERS-WEB-External/displaynoticecontent.do?noticeId=MTE2MjUx&statusId=MTk3NDQ3&language=en
