Trading Halts - Name Change

So I couldn’t find anything online about halts and names changes, but I did come across a company that went through the process a few months ago. 

 

Heritage Cannabis Holdings Corp. C.CANN (formerly UMBRAL ENERGY) Was halted on November 2, 2017, and they released news about name and business change. 

 

The stock resumed trading on January 9, 2018 (almost 2 months later). 

 

In between those 2 months, the only other news they released was 

 

Only a week after they resumed trading, did they  then release news. 

 

 

Therefore, it’s possible that GLK will be halted until about mid-end of April. 

 

So til then, please, GTFOH bashers because anybody posting nonsense is probably doing it because they’re worried they didn’t get to buy in before the halt and now they’re just worried that they don’t have enough money in their piggy bank to buy a large chunk of shares.

plus : they resume trading at 0,40 up 400% from their previous close. That give 2 month for management to deliver some material news. Trust the process

Right on that's exactly what's going down they need us to vote get paper work done .the halt allows the shares to stay put cooler heads prevail I believe all the needs and wants were printed so should not be a consolidation problem to deal with now ,it should really be a positive event ,

Apples and oranges my dear fellow. Umbral Energy was an exploration company searching for precious metals. Cannabis is a whole different business model. Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Great Lakes planning on staying with the same business plan, just changing their name?

Everything is incredibly quiet.  Quiet for a few months now, waiting to see what develops from it but management seems positive.

Question: Can a compagny that is halted can still give News or the laws doesn't allow that?

That's a really good question.  I checked UMB.c and they had news release during the halt but they gave news after they resumed trading so I think that's how it's going. Another question about UMB.c is that jump in price.  Did they consolidate the shares or did it just open higher when trading resumed?  So holders in UMB.c got a big increase when trading resumed?

2 things to clarify on UMB.C I've been following the stock before and after the halt, here's what you need to know : The reason UMB.c opened much higher is because of the news release they had DURING the halt. Because the news were important (change of business from energy to marijuana + deal with canopy) there bid went up instantly. So when the stock began trading back, there were no

Yes, that is the jump in price (no consolidation).  Just to clarify, I’m not saying that GLK will be like UMB. It was just a comparison of two companies that halted due to a business and name change.

What gives you confidence that management seems positive? Even the CEO has been this positive that we saw the last public statement when (news related statements excluded)? Happy weekend.

You forgot to mention that when UMB.c was halted, the price was .14 When they were unhalted 2 months later the eod price was over .70 Not bad return
