On July 31, Glacier Media informed Unifor Local 2000 that it would shut down print operations and lay off staff at Burnaby Now, Tri-City News and the New Westminster Record by Aug. 11, the union said in a Thursday statement. The last print edition of each paper will be on Aug10

Shut down any of the cash burning papers if a) the gov is not funding to keep them open 2) if they can't generate revenue to act as a profitable business. The Feds really messed up on the C-18 hardball strategy and it should be up to them to fix it. There will be many other print operations shutting down in the coming months.
