VERIZON coming to Canada?

This could be very good for Glentel!  GLN sells Verizon in the US, will they in Canada?

Verizon makes USD700m bid for Wind Mobile, starts talks with Mobilicity - report
Jun 26, 2013 (M&A Navigator via COMTEX) --
26 June 2013 - US communications major Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE:VZ) has made an initial offer for Wind Mobile, valuing the Canadian wireless carrier at USD700m (EUR536.6m), and has also entered into takeover discussions with mobile carrier services provider Mobilicity, The Globe and Mail reported today, citing sources. The moves are in line with the company"s plan to enter the Canadian market. It may have to pay between USD1bn and USD2bn for the two targets, according to analysts. Last week, Verizon CFO Fran Shammo confirmed that his company was considering the possibility of entering the Canadian market, after a report by the The Globe and Mail revealed that Verizon was in discussions to buy Wind. In March Wind Mobile"s owner, Dutch telecommunications company VimpelCom Ltd (NYSE:VIP), was said to have appointed UBS AG (VTX:UBSN) as advisor on the sale of its Canadian unit. The divestment was seen to attract preliminary bids of between USD500m and USD1bn. Mobilicity is expected to cost less. Earlier this year Telus Corporation (TSE:T) made a USD380m offer for the firm, but the sale was impeded due to regulations banning the sale of the spectrum owned by upstarts to the big three phone companies, which include Telus, Rogers Communications Inc (TSE:RCI.B) and BCE Inc (TSE:BCE). Representatives for Wind, VimpelCom, Verizon and Mobilicity refused to comment.

Think about it...Verizon most likely have been discussing the move to canada with Glentel, it only makes sense.  Glentel and Horizon are already affiliated, Verizon wouldn't enter Canada  not teem up with Glentel, develop their own retailing network and let glentel sell to their rivals!  No no no no...they deffinately already have an agreement to have Glentel sell their brand. & ...more
