I see we are Halted...is this a good or bad thing - anyone have ideas?

Either the competition bureau wants to review or kill the deal or they got another bid on the table. If the trading action is any indication it's probably not good news. The risk spread has been widening ever since the deal was announced. The fact arbs haven't in to narrow the spread indicates risk. I do hope they have another odder on the table.
