Back home, Genoil Inc. president Tom Bugg said the situation in the Persian Gulf has not had an impact on his company’s efforts to establish a division in the United Arab Emirates.

Although Bahrain is a member of the UAE, he said the conflict has been localized away from the company’s bases in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

“People have to remember it’s not one homogeneous region,” he said. “What’s happening in one country doesn’t mean the same thing is happening somewhere else.”
