RE:RE:RE:RE:Bad news for GMA? Olimagne, we all agree on that. GMA wants to be the first mover.
However, claiming that you want to recycle REE does not make you a recycler. R&D have been performed for decades in this sector without success. It is a trend in the market to label you as green, participating in the circular economy and so on. But GMA is closer than ever whereas the competition needs a lot of R&D to get where GMS is now at.
And please remember that GMA is now also claiming that it will recycle other strategic materials. First thing first, but the business plan let us see all kind of opportunities, no matter what the market conditions will be for one strategic metal vs another one.
GMA is an innovative company and will be difficult to copy:
-it decided to put the exploration side of the business on the sideline;
-entered the recycycling business long before the others;
-concentrated on the green separation;
-concentrated on the most valuable REE which increase the margins.
All of that will be difficult to copy this year, as the demonstration plant will, in all likelyhood, be ready this year.
