TBP website - I have a question...

I was reading the website today and I have a question regarding a point on the investors page.
Under "Why invest" they have the following points: Why Invest Tetra is the only company in North America that is working with prescription drug regulators (i.e., Health Canada and FDA) to conduct rigorous clinical trials by bringing pharmaceutical science to the world of medicinal cannabis. As cannabis is a known entity for treating chronic pain, Tetra is able to bypass the long and extensive Phase II clinical trials with Health Canada and have expediency with the FDA. One of the emerging trend in the opioid market is smokable medical marijuana which Tetra plans to bring its lead product PPP001 a smokable, natural medical marijuana to market for the treatment of chronic pain in cancer patients. While other global Pharmaceuticals have secured approval for cannabis derivatives, nobody has proven to regulators that smokable cannabis has any medical benefits. As the opioid epidemic affects millions in North America and continues to grow, there is an increasing demand for an alternative to opioids such as cannabis based drugs that will replace the toxic side effect profile of opioids. Tetra plans to develop a superior quality cannabinoid drug product through a scientific process which will create intellectual property which the company can protect via patents. In addition, Tetra plans on filing the IP for a device with a built-in mechanism for reducing drug abuse.
All good points, but I'm not quite sure what the last one refers to. Does it refer to the structure of the inhalation device for PP0001 (to prevent abuse/overdose) or something else altogether? Anyone know?

ok so I suck at separating paragraphs lol, I meant to ask about this point: Tetra plans on filing the IP for a device with a built-in mechanism for reducing drug abuse. Hey ScienceGirl, this is how I understand it too. I believe they are referencing the controlled release pellets which both limit abuse (non habit forming, compared to opioid) and overdose (controlled dose) To me, this write up takes a definitive stance to show the validity for smokable cannabis. As we know with edibles the chances for overdosing are higher because you are unable to titrate your ...more

I believe the answers you are looking for were posted on their Facebook page back in July. Here is what Tetra said: "15 puffs per pellet. Always the same standard of quality in the blister pack. Titanium pipe has a digital recorder to monitor your puffs taken which pharmacies will set. Will prevent abuse and be able to monitor the intake." "They would be a hard pellet. The ...more

Thanks to all who provided valuable info to answer my question. As for LilWilly, perhaps we should give him some forceps to take care of his willy because it is probably so small that he can't even grab it with his troll fingers. I think his problem is that no one wants to smoke his pipe!

I did a google search on filing an "IP" and it came back as filing an intellectual property rights, kinda sounds like a patent for the PP0001 pipe device, I could be dead wrong here people so please don't chastise me or google!
