Tbp rewards shareholders

Great NR from tbp this labor day weekend with the announcement of the North bud dividends to be given out by Sept 12th to its shareholders. A real nice gift fromTbp . A great time to load up on stocks before Sept 6th for additional bonus. I think North bud stocks will be a good to hold for the long run. just my opinion. Have a great labor day weekend everyone

... Carpenter58. In this context I tend to disagree with your formulation of "reward" or "gift". Strictly speaking, the dividend cannot really be called an earning, because it's money out of our own pockets.   Assume the TBP.V share price is CAD 1.10 on September 5 at the market close. The dividend CAD 0.11 (0.1012 North Bud for every 1 Tetra Share) will ...more

Why are you adj the tetra share?  If I have say 1000 shares of tetra on sept 6 I will still have 1000 shares  as long as I don’t sell and the value will be times sp that day close.  I will have 1000 times .1012 shares of NB as well in my account approx 101 shares times sp/market value which will obviously be a gift I never had before in my account.

I don't understand what the price of tbp stock has to do with the value of the north bud dividend

What on earth are you talking about? Nothing you just said makes any sense. This is not money out of any shareholder's pocket. Tetra sold their Growpros advanced ACMPR license to Northbud for what amounts to 15.5 million shares of Northbud Farms. Rather than hold the shares for themselves, they decided to distribute these shares evenly among investors at a roughly 1:10 ratio. If you own 100 ...more

Also, I just wanted to clarify, do you understand that the share price isn't the tangible value of the company, right? It's just the price that an investor is willing to pay for one stock of the company. That ~1:10 ratio represents the amount of Northbud stock that TBP has in their possession, relative to the number of outstanding shares of TBP. That's why they will award 1 share of ...more

That guy Carpenter58 is clearly retarded and trying to spread confusion.

Hey Carpenter58, I'm sorry I meant GoTogether is the retard. It's hard to keep track on here sometimes.  The value of Tetra shares is in no way directly affected by the dividend shares of GrowPros. The guy has no clue what he's talking about.

no problem
Comment by GoTogether on Sep 02, 2018 3:49pm
Guys, no reason to get upset here. Well, you don't have to believe me.  Please, look up the stock trading term "ex-dividend" and you all will know. In the stock universe Tetra is no exception to this rule (unfortunately). Understandable that some - lets say unbriefed - want to see it differently. Guys, don't forget the ex-dividend rule, that's the only point I ...more
