Great Bear Resources Ltd. GTBDF

Primary Symbol: GTBAF

Great Bear Resources Ltd. is a Vancouver-based gold exploration company focused on advancing its 100% owned Dixie project in Northwestern Ontario, Canada. A significant exploration drill program is currently underway to define the mineralization within a large-scale, high-grade disseminated gold discovery made in 2019, the LP Fault. Additional exploration drilling is also in progress to expand and infill nearby high-grade gold zones, as well as to test new regional targets.

RE:RE:I put my own mind to rest

The thing is I have never been able to find anything that would actually cause me to decide to sell my core holding here and after being heavily invested for 15 months now I have never been anywhere close to selling. In all that time the only time I got just a tad nervous was yesterday as explained in my somewhat long winded post below.. and as I said I put that to bed by simply checking the details.
I do find it quite extraordinary that in all that time basically I have found nothing that would have me even considering selling this stock. I mean this is the venture and this is one of the highest risk sectors across the board. And that is a MASSIVE positive in my book.. I mean basically I have never seen anything quite like Great Bear in 18 years of looking at junior explorers.
The other thing I find interesting is how once I checked out all those holes it became very clear that there was no cause for concern at all.. that was just my imagination.
NIce to see a steady rise today.. I think the market is gradually beginning to realise what is happening here.

But what happens if your DD isn't accurate, maybe you've made a huge mistake and so being nervous is actually the correct way to feel about this stock, afterall there are a lot of holes we haven't seen yet.
I think 1) is the correct course of action for you to take but the trick is just don't ever look at the stock again.

And if you see a guy driving along in a Gun Metal Grey Bentley Convertible with Burgundy interior and a vanity plate that reads AWEIGH, well just ignore that too. !

Thanks for your DD, I was wondering about our hole count !
Now where are the rest of those assays, I'm getting nervous !

Two mistakes I have made in the past when I am holding a significant profit already.. as is the case here for me:
1) I sell because i get nervous about losing my hard earned profits only to see the stock continue to make further gains.
2) I hang on to my shares because of not wanting to make mistake number 1 only to see my profits diminish.
Both these actions can also be the right move in certain situations.

So reason for my post is I got a bit nervous yesterday as I was expecting more holes to be reported. My thinking went like this.. surely they have more to report? Maybe they are not revealing all the holes that have come back from the labs?.. Maybe they are being selective because there are quite a number of holes that are not so good? I had noticed this before when it seemed a long time before we got a release and the release then only seemed to report a small number of holes.. less than i expected.

At this point i will explain, I have owned GBR since Sept 2018 not long after the first big bump in share price due to very impressive Hinge results.
I think I posted at the time to the effect that in 17 years of investing in precious metal explorers I had never found a company that not only ticked every box but gave every box 5 stars. This belief in GBR has only grown stronger over time too so when i bought at $2.55 that looked like a great bargain even before the LP fault discoveries were made!
My attitude when I own a stock is always "If there is ANY problem at all I want to know" so lets LOOK for problems.. lets not take ANYTHING for granted.. jeez this is the venture exchange.. the home of liars, cheats and people who will take you for all you have got if you let them.
I also know there are some good people and a few good companies and those are the ones to find and stick with. (rule no 1)

So I had to investigate my sense of not getting the full reports for all the holes they have been drilling in relation to the LP fault.
I am 100% OK now with my findings.

I spent a couple of hours going through every NR reporting LP drill results and checked every hole that they have reported. There are 5 holes that have not been reported: 14, 23, 25,32 and 33.

There are still a whack load of holes that are pending.. they have only reported 4 holes out of 27 between 48 and 75 so we have a huge number of holes soon, hopefully, to be reported and there are probably more over 75 too.

So all in all I satisfied myself that all is well and thought I would share my findings with this board.

Hopefully we will be getting more holes reported soon.
