A 4.7:1 strip ratio is high, but not unheard of.  Also, the waste is already accounted for in the average operating costs which I am happy they were able to bring down in the latest FS (the newly estimated operating cost/oz number is $527/oz which already includes a $104/oz royalty fee compared to the previous $522/oz before royalty).  At current gold prices GUY's payback will be less than 2 years. This will be highly attractive to potential buyers. The question is will GUY make it to production in Q1 of 2015 or will a takeover happen sooner. My guess is the latter after reading this latest FS.

Technically speaking, GUY does not have a lot of resistance from its current SP to the $6.40 range so enjoy the ride.
