RE: RE: Pasquia Area - RDrillerSplit-Leaf area is about 8 km from the south GXS property boundary. If you can find my post from Friday with the Topo Canada link, it goes to the Overflowing River, which is the water feature shown on the Split-Leaf map accompanying the GXS NR. The bypassed oxbow is a dead giveaway. A couple of other companies have mis-identified that river as another larger one to the south. Easy to do when in a hurry, I suppose. One of the trails on the Topo Canada maps are used as roads on the GXS maps for further position verification to drill areas.
SMI has a very good map correctly identifying most of the Boundary area players in the immediate vicinity. It should be noted that most maps, including the SMI map, show section squares (one mile square), while the recent GXS maps show 1 km squares, so distances will have to be scaled appropriately to obtain proper measurements.
Pasquia Area also has less overburden in some holes, which I like. Hole 05 was described in the NR that first mentioned it as being the most undisturbed, continuous coal interval on the property up to that point, with virtually no partings.
