Trade resumption and no denial of discussions

Interesting, we have this article saying discusisons and close to a deal, which shoots the stock price up.  We have a halt, and then a resumption with no denial from HBC or Catalyst that the ...more

Trading Halt because single-stock circuit breaker

HBC was up almost 17% because of that little article.  The officlal reason for the halt is not necessarily any announcement of a deal.  OSC was concerned about the hight volume and increase ...more

Baker is like the boy who cried wolf

nobody believes the guy anymore....mulling over is so wishy washy....thats why the price is no where near $11 in trading.....he has no cred

RE:MULLING OVER.....

Baker is an idiot so he may stick to losing hard ball tactics. He needs to bid $12, not $11 and get it done. If he bids $11, catalyst can and should bid $11.50. I'm looking for a ramp up in board ...more

RE:HBC and Catalyst close to a deal

This appears to be the outcome expected - and probably supported - by most of the people on this board.  They just could not label their bid as fair when there was a higher bid on the table ...more

RE:HBC and Catalyst close to a deal

It makes ssense.  I see a lot of insiders esxcercises options before Christmas for prices in the high $8's.  That tells me that they think a deal is coming too.

RE:gents

If baker's 'friends' turn on him and boot him they have the dirt to fire him 'with cause'. No severance is payable if fired 'with cause'.

RE:RE:RE:Patience for me on this play

Both Catalyst and Baker's group are money animals with the sole purpose of making money. They can set aside anything as long as they smell money.

I also agree with your assesment... But 2 question remain now... 1- Are both parties able to come to a mutually agreeable terms for a plan of arrangement... Are they able to set their egos aside and ...more

RE:Patience for me on this play

Agree that an improved offer is being negociated and coming. If Baker&Friends wanted to pull the bid, they would have announced it already, just like Jim Pattison did for Canfor. The defeat on ...more

Patience for me on this play

There is too much money at stake on both the majority and minority side for this not to get resolved. It is likely a better bid is coming from the Majority. Even if the Majority pulls its bid, that ...more
