RE:RE:RE:Soon, The new CEO from Bank of Canada

RE:RE:RE:Soon, The new CEO from Bank of Canadaits not worth spending too much time on but the Bank of Canada is not a commerical bank.

The governor and its staff are government appointees and are often top academic economists who worry about inflation, the growth of money supply, interest rates, unemployment etc.  This would in no way qualify them or restore depositor confidence in bringing in bank of Canada executive.   they have no experience dealing with investors, institutuional investors nor marketing to the public, all of the things Home Cap needs.

you must be thinking of another bank or you don't understand how commerical and retail banking work.

In order to restore confidence they need to find someone who has done this before and someone who may have turnaround experience.  They actually don't have that much executiion experience because their senior management is out the door. ie. their chairman, CEO and CFO are all interim./acting and their was clearly some issues with how the previous Chairman/Founder let things run there. I Imagine he was an amazing entrepenneur and took the company from nothging to great heights but along the way some processes and procedures were overlooked, I don't know.    A person who is an academic economist from the BOC doesn't fit the bill.
