RE: class actionThe most fundamental issue is whether there are enough grounds from a legal perspective to launch a Class Action. If the lawyers believe they have a good chance of prevailing in either a verdict or a settlement then they will take it on, at their expense if they see it as worthwhile. That being substantial amount involved.
One thing of interest, I did think about, is in discussing or should there be an action calling past directors. They left for reasons, or did they have a shoe print on their buts?
Perhaps they might even be willing or pro such an action themselves. Who knows?
Interested to see what your connection yields in terms of an opinion of what direction to pursue. They know the options for sure.
I would love to get to court, just to expose how ridiculous our Canadian authorities are, and what little they have done to date, when many requests and indications have been sent to them. It does remind one of the Bernie Madoff thing, doesn't it?
