Say you are coming to the AGM!There have been some excellent posts here today as we again see the SP trading clearly above Severstal's limp and laughable offer. In particular, the superb John Helmer article in Minesite posted by ccharlwood about three posts back of this one is an absolute must-read, and should give all of us long-suffering minority-types a rush of deserved optimism. With Helmer's article as seed, my bet is that it will not now be long before we see more coverage, and this time in the more popular press, some of whom will likely be at the AGM.
Nevertheless, this is definitely not the time to relax, to put our feet up, or to think that things are in the bag. They are not, and the outcome is never certain until it has happened. It is, rather, time for each of us to show our solidarity en masse by attending the Annual General Meeting this coming Tuesday at 9 AM in the Governer General's Room at the Hilton at 145 Richmond St. W. in Toronto. Let's put some fear into the minds of our would-be slavemakers by showing up in heavy numbers and putting clear and clarion voice to the injustices we are suffering, and to head off any new business not in our best interests that they may try to push through. In fact, let's impress them with the fact that, as far as trying to shove things down our collective throat, it is they who are through. Remember that they have shown again and again, by the observations of many on this board IMO, that deviousness, deception, and omission are in their bag of tricks.
I am going to the AGM. Are you? Just post an "I'm going to the HRG AGM." to this board. Let's see what a swamp of posts we can accumulate between now and Monday night to give them another reason to sweat besides the weather and give ourselves reason to stand tall and be proud. WE CAN DO THIS!
