What happens when offer fails??

1. RDI share price dropped when Pala proxy bid to remove board failed. What will support hrg price when/if this offer fails. Perhaps the share price will trend down again and its better to wait to take a position in hrg? This could be wrong thought process but I doubt that severstal is going to up the offer price if they were in any way honorable business men they wouldnt be putting in such a shamless bid to start with. It seems the market feels the same way and the price is stuck around the 22 cents offer price. It would trade much higher if the market thought severstal would increase their bid. When there was no bid I bought at 12 cents. Whats so different now?? And now severstal has diluted us further with the 18 cent placement. Also some of the market participants think the offer will be successful and are happy with 22 cents. Only time will tell who is right I guess thats the nature of trading being on the right side of the outcome trouble is knowing which side that is.

2.I have been following and trading ccj(also hrg). Pala in this case is more like a white knight and the old management were crooks do your own dd but this recent article is bogus. Read the ccj board to verify this. I dont think this is the same situation as severstal and hrg.

3.I am hoping it fails if so I will buy back in and wait for the company to turn things around. I own 10000 shares at this time at .23 cents. glta hope severstal goes bankrupt just russian ckskrs as far as Im concerned.

Well it is anyone's guess what will happen, butthere are a couple factors I think that are holding the share price in placenow that will be removed once this plays out.Certainly we can probably all agree that some people/ institutions/ arbitragefunds will be tendering to Severstal's bid who think this is fair or have ashort term outlook.  If I was going to take it, I would be slowly ...more

Thanks for your reply I believe the offer is going to fail and your reasoning is sound. Of course it makes sense to sell at 23 cents if you think the offer will suceed. I will retake a position in hrg and look for a future sp that represents what a cash flow positive gold miners shares should be trading at. Perhaps there will be a nice bounce once this offer is voted down.

I as well am new to this board. I just have a question? Whene does the reply have to be returned back to HRG?P.S. I as well have in my possesion 142000 shares.I have decided not to sell until $1.25.I have watched this share go from hero to zero with the old board. I originally bought in at $2.38 and have added 80000 shares back in November at .09.So hope all works out, and we can get this ...more
