Shorting

I can only speak of US laws as I have not found enough info as yet for Canadian laws. You can not short penny stock. However as I have concrete evidence that Rocker is not posting from CA, and as he has been a member of SH for 1 month and has yet to post anywhere but HRG I do not consider the post to be valid. Frankly it is a waste of time to debate the BS spewing from his Vodka filled Mouth. UNITED WE STAND!

I also believe it is not allowed to short penny stocks so if rocker can show me a link proving otherwise, this fact alone proves he is full of BS.

This pretty much proves Rocker is a liar re everything he says:To answer your question, we have to identify the difference between Canadian and US stocks, as the rules and trading systems are substantially different. To answer your first question, no. And yes. It depends on who is doing the shorting. In the United States, the Federal Reserve establishes the criteria under which stocks can be ...more

There we have it and I believe I can speak for most of us if not all of us. Rocker don't go away mad, just go away!......P.S Thx calgary for taking the time to find the language as it applies to this scenairio

you can short whatever your broker allows you to short .I have also noticed that nobody has even tried to challenge my theory on amalgamation. I am sure this is what newbies would like to read. You all know it's a strong possibility.

what brokerage firm do you use? i will find out if they let people short such stocks.

What you mean the fact that syvestral can't vote and troika hasn't enuff shares to go against all minorities we delt with this back when they bought the shares not going to happen looks to me like troika has decided they wan't to get return on there shares and are screwing sevestral on there agreement money makes everyone greedy EH ROCKER ----------Original Message Posted 4/10/2010 ...more

Your "theory" is garbage.  Troika shares are non-voting.
Comment by rocknroller on Apr 10, 2010 8:51pm
sorry, Troika shares are voting shares and everyone knows that they have worked in tandem with Severstal in the past. So far 2 responses and both lies which once again proves my theory of pumpers.
Comment by paythebills on Apr 11, 2010 12:52am
Okay, if Severstal was in with Troika and they were going to squeeze minorities out at some lower price (if in fact Troika shares can vote), why would they wait till now to do it? Why would they of not already done so? Why would they wait until the financials are released?
Comment by elav on Apr 11, 2010 1:22am
Wrong.  You cant issue shares to an entity at arms length and dilute the voting rights of minority shareholders.  Severstal would have to allow minority shareholders equal opportunity to participate in the equity offering.  Only then would the shares (including the ones the minority holders could have purchased) become voting.  Wont hold up in any court.

and what is the name of your brokerage firm? I want to call them to ask if they allow one to short penny stocks on tsx.for some reason you refuse to provide the name-because you know you are a liar.
