A refresher for everyone

I suggest that everyone invested in HRG read John Helmer's material.
Particularly this piece written in January is very pertinent.

Since the Troika shares have now been purchased there really is only a couple of options left.
#1 sell HRG to a Chinese group - big win
#2 Severstal Gold IPO, where HRG shares are converted into the new shares - big win for investors
#3 Selling Severstal gold assets to HRG to gain further value because Severstal assets would be overvalued and HRG undervalued. In essence Severstal could dilute our shares by a further 50% doing this. I'm not sure it could be done, because if it is Severstal assets, then it would be minority shareholder voting whether to agree to the deal which we wouldn't.
#4 some deal to merge with Crew Gold of GV gold?

you are a serious moron, and a jealous one at that.Ive been in this stockfor over a year having acccumulated 1.2 mil shares strting near .12. The older shareholdrs know me and have seenthe buys.BTW, there are a lot of guys here who have from 500k to 5 mil shares at the same cost as I had. Some people take good risks and make fortunes, while others display jealousy and envy. I made a fortune,  ...more

What he says is true...everybody new what everyone else had in shares a while back. Communicating to each other on boards like this is the reason why Severstal did not purchase %100 of this company a year ago. Proud is not saying anything he hasn't been saying all along. Everyone who bought in under 20 cents and geld it has done well...including myself (although I owned much less than ...more

Yes, proud has been here for long and has been transparent in his holdings. His million shares did not come up over night.

Proud, next time you make another "fortune", just do not forget to pay down a mortgage on your bicycle

Merging HRG's West African assets with Crew gold and HRG's Russian assets with Severstals gold assets would make a lot of sense.
Comment by baystock1 on Jun 06, 2010 1:58pm
IMO it makes sense to split off the Russian assets from the west african assets because they are valued differently by global investers. There is little appetite outside of Russia for Russian gold assets due to the extremely poor treatment of foreign  investments. Russia is arbitrary and discriminatory towards foreign mining investors and hence has one of the worst country ratings in the ...more
