AGM time, location, date

Can someone let me know the date, location, and time of the HRG AGM? I have received no notification by mail in spite of being a shareholder for many years.

Here is the AGM time and place.  See you there!CJ("High River", or the "Company") for use at the Annual Meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") of the Company to be held on June 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. (Toronto time) in the Caledonia Room, 27th floor, St. Andrew’s Club & Conference Centre, 150 King Street West, Toronto, Ontario and at any adjournment thereof ...more

Hi CJ,Would it be worthwhile, if shareholders like myself were to give you the proxy to vote on our behalf?  Others can do the same let us know if you want to be the individual for the proxy.  I can provide your name on the sheet and fax it today.  It said on the proxy, not later than 48 hrs. preceding the date of the meeting. Are we still within the time limit, and the fax number ...more

Hi hrgagogo, kind of you to think that way, however any voting at the AGM is a foregone conclusion.  The voting will be to: approve the FY 2009 statements, elect directors (we have no say), and appoint KPMG as auditor (we have no say). The fun will be to see who shows up.  I will listen to what they have to say with an open mind, I would encourage the representatives from Severstal ...more

How did the AGM go?
Comment by cjsell on Jun 30, 2010 4:00pm
I did attend as promised, and asked some tough questions,  Igor Klimanov presided over the meeting.  I will post my thoughts later, just no time at the moment.  Here are just a few takeaways.1) Look at the new HRG dog and pony PowerPoint show on HRG's website, should be there now.2) No guidance, but HRG should exceed FY2009 production according to Igor.3) Royal Gold should be ...more

I got there late but was pleasantly surprised to see Igor Klimanov himself, a guy about 35-40 years old, presenting what for the most part was upbeat stuff about HRG's existing mines and the prospects at Bissa, which he regarded as HRG's best asset at this time. Feasibility study completion on Bissa is expected this year, and he said that by Canadian law he can't disclose more info ...more

Thanks CJ and Wabatch. Re comment on the 500% rise in the SP, it  will take us to ~$4 which is also what is implied by comparing Severstal Gold to Polymetal. Is $4 (plus minus some) their target for HRG valuation for Severstal IPO?

Thanks guys for your notes on the meeting.  And to CJ for the great questions and undoubtedly a lot of preparation to ask such informed questions.  I too was quite impressed with what came out of the meeting.  And with Igor's answers to some tough questions.  He actually seemed quite straightforward in his responses and for the most part forthright. Notably in response to ...more

Excellent job in reporting on the AGM guys.Hi Wabatch, about this comment:He also said the 35 permits that HRG owns in Burkina Faso are very prospective--better than anything in Russia--and especially singled out the potential of the Banfora Group.I looked at their new presentation on HRG`s site.  It says that the Banfora Group is the Labola and Danfora permits. Labola is the exploration ...more

Re: Prognoz bankruptcy proceedingsIgor stated that HRG was forced into entering Bankruptcy proceedings by the other stakeholder to protect our position and were being blackmailed by the other party in relation to what they owe us. He also stated that HRG represents 95% of the outstanding debt owed by Prognoz. He stated that there is a good chance that HRG’s position could be improved in bankruptcy ...more

To be sure Igor will be reading this, so again Igor, thank you for coming to Toronto.Good to see other HRG folks at the meeting!  I see the POG took a breather today, but that should not be a big surprise.  I expect some pressure on the stock, but then again, it can be an excellent buying opportunity IF you believe the gold bull is just taking a break while some profit ...more

The wild card is Bissa, we know from the new HRG corporate presentation 1.6 million oz have been identified.  Additionally there are more claims to be drilled and Burkina Faso is quickly gaining a reputation for a good place to be.  Bissa alone will bulk up the gold reservesIt`s been a couple of years since I`ve looked at the Bissa details.  However, I believe the current 1.7M ...more
