The price of gold has shot up ,if this is sustained it will make the mine significantly more profitable notwithstanding the increase in costs etc .Silver Lake EBITA and cash flow will be increasing exponentially from its Aussie mines which are well run and include base metals .
if this POG rise is sustained then it will produce a once in a generation opportunity to make huge profits in the small mining sector .I participated in the last one ,for example owned consolidated silver tusk mines which went from 28 cents to 10 dollars (basically on nothing)and then went to zero (it went bust)so timing is everything .
Even the big miners like FCX and FNV have had big runs .small miners not yet but thier time is coming .Its an exciting time to be invested in the mining sector.
My grandfather invested in small gold mines 100 years ago ,when he died there was a bunch of beautiful mining company certificates which made great momentos even though they were worth nothing ,so its always been risky business.
