The Bureau of Land Management has approved the Patua II Geothermal Exploration and Utilization Project, east of Fernley, NV, and about 15 miles west of Fallon.

The project is proposed by Gradient Resources Inc and is on lands managed by the BLM and the Bureau of Reclamation. The project goal is to evaluate area resources and develop a geothermal power plant.

The company plans to construct and upgrade access roads, build well pads and drill exploration wells.
