Patent protection to be tested?

First post from a fellow long suffering holder across the pond. This was in the UK Times this morning and I'd be interested to hear what people think. I read it negatively at first, but think on balance it's good news. Nice to hear similar work described as "revolutionary" at least. Hope the link works.
