Lilly and the Canadian government obviously felt that AbCellera had something to offer in the search for effective covid treatment.
We really do not know the full cause for the delay in funding but Bureaucracy is notoriously slow in responding to requests.Imv has also been very silent on the issue and we do not know if they were timely in their submissions.Did they exert pressure on the powers that be to speed up funding?Did they attempt collaboration with big pharma who would be in a better position to influence government?We are still awaiting the publishing of results in a reputable journal.
Hopefully this week will give us some answers and a more defined outlook re our efforts in the COVID race
