RE: RE: The Sprott report And, she only talked about this original 6 km ore body - I think it could be closer to 6.5 km. I believe that there is high potential for this 6.5 km body to house somewhere in the 75 - 100 million ounce silver range (with 54 milion already booked into official 43-101, in addition to semi-decent gold, lead and zinc by-products). I believe this is her conclusion also I think all of the analysts have used a similar range.
I think we can probably do some back of the envelope simple math, starting with the 54 million ounces as our foundation. That was based on driling 2.1 km of the 6.5 km. I think we will eventually be able to add about 10 million ounces from below the 43-101 resource already estabished, within the 2.1 km area. That could bring us up to 64 million ounces. The La Borracha section to the north (about 1 km) will likely not be as rich as the original 2.1 km, but it will be fruitful nonetheless. Let`s say it gives us another 10 million ounces. That would bring the total up to 74 million. We would only need another 26 million ounces to reach 100 million silver ounces. We would have another 3.4 km (6.5 - 2.1 - 1.0) of the ore body to establish that remaining 26 million.
What Maria didn`t discuss is the real blue sky potential of the property. There are a number of other mid-term targets on the property, beyond this original 6.5 km body. The target I am most interested in is LA BANDERA ZONE - similar geology to the La Cigarra exploration corridor (if it turns out to be very similar) then it could include near-surface mineralization with bulk tonnage potential - the very early footprint potential on the map appears to be about 4 or 5 km in length (too early for any solid conclusions at this point though).
I don`t think it is unreasonable to think that the long-term blue sky potential of the entire La Cigarra property could end up being somewhere in the 100 million to 250 million range. After all, about 15 km south of the 6.5 km main La Cigarra ore body is San Francisco de Oro. San Francisco has a 400 year mining history with 531 million silver ounces. About 20 km south of La Cigarra is Santa Barbara - 400 year mining history with 281 million silver ounces.
It will be interesting to see if La Cigarra is the next San Francisco de Oro or Santa Barbara. We are off to a good start thus far, but it is still early days.
