RE:don birak ex coeur geologist on advisory board
Hey Pointguard, my biggest fear about my Northair investment is an unwanted takeover from Coeur at this stage of the process. Northair`s management hasn`t been able to get the share price back up (even with very successful drilling, producing the 43-101 resource report and excellent additional property acquisitions), and the low silver price is not helping either. There is no way I am interested in selling the company at this price, especially to a big company like Coeur Mining (where upside share price movement would be limited relative to a stand alone junior like Northair). The key shareholders to watch Sprott and Pinetree. I believe they will influence when the company gets sold. They are both severely underwater right now. Also, they are like most Northair investors. They invest mainly in juniors with huge upsides. They invests in companies like Northair to eventually gain exponential returns, such as 500%, 1000% or even 2000%. I believe Northair has the property package to provide those types of returns, if executed properly. I also believe that the silver price will eventually hit all time highs, beyond $50 per ounce, before this gold/silver bull cycle is over. As such, I believe selling out now would be a huge mistake - possibly the mistake of a lifetime. Of note, Northair`s share price went from about $.10 - .14 to $1.00 per share in 2011, prior to the paper silver and gold prices being happened down by people/organizations with very deep pockets and agendas. This shows that Northair is positioned for exponential gains when the right enablers are contributing. I have 2 external links to with regards to comments about this subject matter. The first is a May 2013 comment about how Sprott feels about Northair`s core project and the second is Coeur Mining commenting last month about their acquisition plans. 1) Sprott - Sprott silver manager commented briefly in the May 2013 version of the AuReport. The AuReport questions are from ``TGR`` and the Sprott manager is ``MS``. The comments are brief and start mid way down the report. Here it is for people who don`t want to go to the report: ``TGR: Are there any other small-cap names you would like to talk about? MS: I want to mention International Northair Mines Ltd. (INM:TSX.V) in Mexico. It is small, but interesting, run by an experienced management team. The market cap is $10M, but the company has defined a deposit of more than 50 Moz silver in an open-pit resource. To date, the company has drilled 40% of a 6-kilometer (6km) mineral strike. The deposit is open on both ends and to depth. Two things here appeal to me: There is a lot of potential to find more ounces and the market cap is tiny. TGR: How would you compare International Northair's La Cigarra deposit with other development-stage silver assets in Mexico? MS: I like the deposit. The initial metallurgical tests are positive—no red flags. I think the resource could be increased by 50% to 100%. Just drilling the remaining 4km could more than double the resource. I do not see that kind of blue-sky potential in many companies right now.`` https://www.theaureport.com/pub/na/sprott-is-bullish-on-silver-and-gold-equities 2) Coeur Mining - a couple of Coeur guys talked to someone from Kitco at PDAC last month. They said: ``......looking at opportunities while we`re here.......great time to do that while the medals prices are a bit low and share prices are definitely low.......our interest right now are in operating companies, cash flowing companies and high value exploration properties......`` Although Northair`s La Cigarra falls into the category of high value exploration properties, but I think it`s too early of a stage for Coeur. I think Coeur is more focused on development and production, and are not as interested in focusing too much of exploration. Although Northair could reach pre-feasibility and full-feasibility in the not too distant future, it is really more of an exploration company. Northair has only defined 54 million ounces of silver. It has only just scratched the surface. I can see a easy path to 100 million ounces of silver (not including the by-product metals) with not much heavy lifting required. After we reach 100 million Ag, there are plenty of untapped targets on the property with potential to get us well beyond that point. The sky could be the limit, especially if La Banderra turns out to be a 5 km long continuous bulk tonnage (hydrothermal, low to mid sulfidation, high grade veins surrounded by disseminated silver) La Cigarra type mineralized structure. Anyway, I don`t think Coeur is interested in acquiring Northair at this stage. Even if they are, I don`t think Sprott, Pinetree and Northair`s management are interested at selling until we reach far higher share prices. Regardless, here is the video interview with the Coeur guys: https://www.kitco.com/news/video/show/PDAC-2014/603/2014-03-07/Great-Opportunity-For-MA-Expecting-$30oz-Silver-Coeur-Mining
