Thanks Folks,

From what I understand there really isn't an equivalent technology. So now, one has to compare the results of the various approaches in each of the application areas and decide what fits best.
I've personally used dual Hasselblads mounted on a platform to calculate cavitation on turbine blades. Very cumbersome for all of the reasons you identified in your reply.
I am looking at the ICT technology as a simplifying approach and maybe a good investment.
