RE: RE: Boosting our display capability
RE: RE: Boosting our display capabilityAudrey,
We are substantially cutting down on the demo trips and concentrating on inviiting interested parties to demos here in Canada. The trips are very expensive, time consuming and exhausting due mainly to time differences (Germany was +9 hrs.). Most occasions we have had two systems demoed at the same time and they do get banged up. Whilst we are on the capture side, potential customers want to see how it displays. One key area of significant opportunity is the world of advertising where autostereoscopic screens (no need to wear glasses), can be placed in areas of high foot traffic such as airports, railway stations, shopping malls etc. Such displays are very eye catching. Advertisers call the failure of shoppers not noticing ads 'ad blindness'. I , for one, am definitely one of those people as I tune out ads in newspapers for instance and don't watch TV. I spotted this claim on how 3D displays have a positive effect:
Results from a recent deployment of 3DEO in 27 stores indicate that, as compared to traditional 2D flat panel:
- Five times as many consumers noticed Provision's 3D display
- 57% of consumers recalled the brand being displayed on 3DEO versus 24% for 2D flat panels
- Sales increased by up to 46%
- Coupon Redemption increased by up to 800% over industry standards
Regards, Nigel Horsley.
