RE: map dataAt the moment there are only two companies with digital maps Nokia (Navteq) and Tom Tom (TeleAtlas). And Google only in the United States.
So who owns the maps is not a big deal, all the biggest companies (Mapquest, Magellan, Microsoft's Bing, Yahoo Maps, Garmin, Intrinsyc and more) are using Navteq. Having the best gps that people want to use is most important.
Destinator is being sold in Brazil, Russia, India, China, most of South East Asia, and actually now globally.
Destinator could be around for a long time, and make a lot of money.
