RE:Growth stragegy...So when your valuation is well below that of anyone you could potentially buy that is called value destruction. When you buy your own stock at a fraction of its value thats called value creation, with the added benefit of creating additional value per share to the remaining shareholders.

Seems like a buyback is a good use of funds if they're not doing something idiotic like trying to buy/partner with someone else as you suggest but if you were considering down the road being acquired by someone that has the valuation currency to do so at a nice premium to the current price.

They teach that in high school.
