I wonder how much it would cost to build a new power line and a lead smelter right at the mine site. That would only contaminate the immediate mine area which is already lead heavy, no pun there and make the port lead free except for the finished good itself. Existing mill will likely be pewing out surfur dioxide already and a bit of lead in the air is just icing for the environement, but likley acceptable. 2 cents
