RE: Buyer's Remorse

RE: Buyer's RemorseGreat discussion here on US fiscal policy. Definitely not off-topic when it comes to commodities such as Pb. US economic policy is dominated by the printing press. The numbers are mind boggling. When I see the costs of US military adventurism I just cringe, not to mention the fiscal impact on Social Security privatisation. If the United States finds itself embroiled in another war, with the massive borrowing that would entail, then there is no way the value of the US$ can be "managed". Furthermore, I do not think that parity with the C$ is at all far fetched. The average American is CLUELESS about how the falling value of the US$ is one of the big reasons for the current relatively high gasoline prices in the US. And the increasing costs of commodities as a whole. Everything that I see around me is screaming INFLATION and further drops in the value of the US$. Other currencies are going to be used for reserve purposes for sure. All the while countries like Indian and China are chugging along, fuelling demand for commodities. Indeed, this has truly been a great time to be in the base metals sector. I have gotten to the stage where I am heavily invested in lead, zinc, nickel and copper plays. IMHO, today is just a blip and we shall soon be moving onwards and upwards again.
