Some Thoughts about Share Price

Some Thoughts about Share Price
The FT article could also be to do with Glencore/Dan Gertle to sell Dan Gertler's KCC royalty right to the Chinese (may be Glencore negotiate with Chinese on behalf of Dan Gertler, so that both can get out of the deadlock. Both are negotiating on possible settlement out of court room currently). This is a pure speculation.

KAT share price is in the penalty box becasue lawsuits have not been resolved. Today's selloff reflected that after jump with good Q1 report. I think that lawsuit with Dan Gertler would be resolved shortly. In regard to the lawsuit with Gecamines, Glencore can resolve it if it chooses to do so. If you listern to Gencore annual general meeting, Gencore Chairman of Board, Anthony Hayward, repeated very confidently four times that they expected to conclude the KCC recapitization successfully. They also expected to reach amicable solution with Gecamines. The question is that if Glencore is able to delay the lawsuit process as long as possible, it is beneficial to Glencore and Katanga Mining if the produciton is not affected. After all, if it is delayed for two years, the cashflow generated from operation will fix the KCC debt issue. This way, Gecamine gets nothing.
