KAT Released Q3 Production ReportKatanga Mining just released Q3 production report. KAT produced 39,296 tons of copper and 3,512 tons of cobalt in Q3 or 10% higher and 45% higher than copper and cobalt produced in Q2, respectively. KAT is going to report Q3 financial report on November 7, 2018 as expected.
Katanga Mining still guides 150kt of copper and 11kt of cobalt in 2018. That means another big increase in copper and cobalt production in Q4 over the Q3 in 2018.
The phase 2 of the WOL Project is progressing according to the plan and will be fully commissioned in Q4 2018 (the current Q).
The cobalt project will be completed during Q1 2019 (next Q), which will allow Katanga Mining to produce 40,000 tons of cobalt contained in hydroxide per year.
The construction of Acid Plant is also progressing according to the plan, which is targeted for commissioning during Q3 2019.
All in all, good production report and great progress in the 2nd train of the WOL projects. Very confident for a great winner in 2019.
