as of Feb. EU EV registration is exactly 1.9% -
VW already announced future job cut by switching to EV production, labor unions political influence make the Gernab gov. very slow in promoting EV. Apart from purchase subsidies, most consumers don't know EV energy long term saving. No mass media, no marketing...people know climate issue from TV, Radio, News, but don't make connection between the car they drive and the climate change....! Auto workers union is the most powerful union lobby - they don't want switch to EV - means job loss.
Auto industry is taking the lead in EV push, knowing no way of return back to fuel engine...it is just as slow as the KAT share prive move.
