2019 Capital Investments from Katanga Mining
2019 Capital Investments from Katanga MiningKatanga Mining will make major capital investments for the following areas in 2019:
(1) Cobalt project - to be completed in Q1 2019
(2) Acid plant - to be commissioned by Q4 2019
(3) Ion Exchnage - to obtain permits on March 11, be commissioned on October 1, and achieve full capacity by November 1, 2019.
(4) Power project (hydro electricity) - to be fully completed by the 2nd half of 2019
After the end of this year, only maintenance capital is required (around $180 million USD per year) and KAT shall generate very strong free cashflow, and the free cashflow numbers willl be higher than the earning numbers in 2020, 2021, 2022......
